WORK EXPERIENCE

 

HOPE in Northern Virginia, Inc – Falls Church, VA – Executive Director                    June 2013 – July 2016

  • Chief Executive Officer

  • Responsible for development, implementation and administration of HOPE’s operation, which includes counseling and assistance for women of all ages. (VA non-profit corporation)

  • Supervise 36 staff members, casework directors and volunteers.

  • Oversee fundraising and public relations activities.

  • Formulate and execute policy and procedures.

  • Supervise and administer HOPE’s automated data processing facility.

  • Supervise the handling of the corporation’s funds and accounts

  • Develop and conduct training for all HOPE employees and volunteers.

  • Direct and manage Social Service referrals for HOPE’s diverse clients and their families.

  • Develop and submit monthly and annual report to the Board of Directors to update statistics of operations, referrals, findings and the status of the various HOPE programs.

 

Women’s Help Center – Jacksonville, FL - Client Services Coordinator                         May 2012 – Mar 2013

  • Counseled an average of 20 women per day with crisis pregnancies.  Provided support, education and resources to women in need.

  • Recruited, supervised and trained volunteers.

  • One of two part-time employees at the Center in addition to the Director.

  • Responsible for computer and data entry and maintaining statistics.

  • Assisted Director in a variety of tasks to run and operate facilities, which is completely dependent on donations.

  • Assisted in fund raising activities.

 

Crown Trophy – Gaithersburg, MD – Office Manager                                        November 2005 – August 2010

  • Office Manager for a small business.

  • Compiled and categorized inventory data and financial reports.

  • Received sales orders from customers and processed orders.

  • Purchased inventory and filled special orders to meet customer needs.

  • Billed, invoiced, and received payment from customers. Responsible for daily deposits of all monies.

  • Hired by the owner of the company.  Often left in charge of business while owner traveling and out of town. 

  • Implemented many changes in the daily operation of the business, including purchasing practices, identifying new customers and streamlining and organizing the purchasing system.

 

Christ the King School – Jacksonville, FL– Office Staff                                                March 2001 – June 2002

  • Regularly and effectively dealt with teachers, students and parents to answer their questions and follow through on their requests.

  • Worked with Access and other data base files.

  • Effectively instructed students in academic and religious studies.

Indiana County Recovery Center (ICRC) – Indiana, PA - Executive Director            September 2018 - Current

  • Founding committee to open a resource center for members of our community seeking recovery from substance abuse.

  • In 2021, took over responsibilities of Executive Director, Volunteer

  • Leading and managing the non-profit organization, overseeing operations, finances, programs, staff, and volunteers.

Hill’s Angel’s Parent Association (HAPA) – Hills Gym Gaithersburg, MD – Executive Board Member     July 2006 – May 2010             

  • Held several leadership positions, including Vice President and Level 10/Elite Representation.

  • Coordinator between Coaches, Parents and Executive HAPA Board Members.

  • Organized and chaperoned travel meets for approximately 20 gymnasts and 3 coaches. Helped direct various fundraising events, including the Hills Gym MD Classic.

 

Secretary of the Board – Family School Association, Christ the King School        August 2001 – June 2002

  • Inaugural Member of the Christ the King School Family School Association Board.

  • Assisted in writing and implementation of by-laws for the association in order to bridge the gap between the school and the families.

 

Career Day Committee Chairperson – Christ the King School                                                          May 2002

  • Organized 20 speakers with various professional backgrounds to discuss career options with students at Christ the King Catholic School.

 

PTA President – Severn Elementary School, Severn, MD                                                                 1995-1997

  • Effectively implemented initiatives to improve the students and parents experience in a public school setting. Encouraged and more parent and community involvement.

  • Served as Chairperson - Fundraising Committee.

  • As PTA President, using funds raised, installed brick, lighted marquee in front of school for announcements to the public.
